 NEWS FROM THE SECTOR

The electricity tariff will rise 9.8 per cent from January 2011 in Spain

news

The cost of energy has been affected by the rising cost of fossil fuels used to generate electricity and the seasonal effect of the winter months, according to the Ministry of Industry.
The Government, through the Executive Committee for Economic Affairs, has decided to raise the electricity tariff of last resort (TUR) an average of 9.8 percent from January, a measure that affects 17 million households and amounts to an increase of 3.2 euros per month for an average home, according to estimates from the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade. At the same time the regulated part of the TUR has been frozen.

news
The electricity tariff of last resort comprises two items each approximately of equal weight: the energy part, which reflects changes in the cost of energy in the free market, and the regulated part set by the government –the so-called charges–, which are used to pay for the use of distribution lines, transport in the high-voltage network, renewable energy premiums and other items.

 CIRCUTOR INNOVATIONS

WGC
Earth leakage transformers

equipment

New range of sensors associated with CIRCUTOR electronic relays for earth leakage protection:

puntRG1M
puntRGE-R / RGE-R1
puntRGU-10 / RGU-10C
puntCBS-4 / CBS-4C

This new range includes a series of improvements intended in particular for switchboard installation of the devices.

The chosen dimensions and shapes enable optimisation of the physical space inside the electrical panels, maintaining the guaranteed insulation.

The introduction of new inner diameters makes it possible to strengthen this feature according to the level of wiring of the electrical installation. In addition to the usual attachments for installation, a DIN rail installation can be used via an accessory, making it easier to install.

The WGC series of earth leakage transformers offers better immunity to the spikes that usually cause the differential protection to trip.
